Ms. Cristina Lobillo

Director of the EU Energy Platform and International Relations

Cristina Lobillo Borrero holds a Law degree and has completed postgraduate courses in Economics, European Union Law, and Management and Leadership at ULB (Escuela Española de Diplomáticos’, the European Commission, and Harvard Business School. Since 2004, she has been a civil servant at the European Commission, with experience in Agriculture and Trade policies. From 2014 to 2019, she served as Chief of Staff to former Commissioner for Climate Action and Energy, Miguel Arias Cañete. Subsequently, she held positions as Senior Advisor in the Directorate-General for Agriculture and Director of Energy Policy at the DG ENER of the European Commission, where she was heavily involved in preparing the “Fit for 55” package. Since June 2022, she has been the Director of the EU Energy Platform and International Relations at DG ENERG. Prior to joining the Commission, Cristina worked in the Spanish Administration and at the Universities of Córdoba and Alcalá de Henares.
