Jordi Bruno Salgot was Global Director of Business Development for the
mining, nuclear waste management, and geological carbon storage (CCS)
sectors at RSK Group, and he was the founder, CEO, and chairman of Amphos
21 for more than three decades. He has a strong international track record of
over 35 years in strategic consulting, sustainability, mining, natural resource
management, and the circular economy.
He holds a PhD in Inorganic Chemistry from the Royal Institute of Technology in
Stockholm, an MBA from the Stockholm School of Economics, and has been a
university professor for more than twenty years. He has served as a scientific
advisor to international organizations such as the European Commission, the
IAEA, the OECD-NEA, and the United Nations. He has been a member of
leading scientific committees, including France’s BRGM, and has acted as an
independent expert in more than fifty projects and proceedings related to
mining, metallurgy, mineral resources, the environment, and energy.
His expertise includes the assessment of Critical Raw Materials, sustainable
mineral resource management, economic geology, waste valorization, and the
development of strategies for the energy transition. He is the author of more
than one hundred scientific publications and a recognized speaker and
moderator at international conferences on mining, sustainability, and
environmental technologies.
This combination of scientific, business, and institutional experience enables
him to provide an integrated and strategic perspective when moderating
discussions on strategic metals and critical raw materials, which are essential
for the energy transition and European industrial autonomy.
