Pedro Ruiz Rodríguez is an Industrial Engineer from the University of Valladolid. Most of his professional life has revolved around Engineering in the Food Industry, developing his career for over 32 years within the Nestlé Group where, among other positions, he has worked as engineering manager at the Girona factory (1999-2003) and at the La Penilla factory (2005-2014), as well as engineering coordinator in Portugal. For the past 10 years until October 2023, he has worked as an Environmental Sustainability Specialist in the corporate sphere of Nestlé Spain, where he had the opportunity to develop the group’s Sustainability Strategic Plan at the Iberian level.
Currently, he holds the position of General Director at MARE, S.A. (Environment, Water, Waste, and Energy of Cantabria), a government-owned entity of the Government of Cantabria to carry out environmental management.
Pedro Ruiz also collaborates as a lecturer at the Faculty of Economics of the University of Barcelona, teaching in the Master’s program in Marketing Management, Branding, Digital Environment, and Sustainability.
