Mr. Antonio Pérez-Lepe

Innovation and Technology Manager at Fundación Repsol

Antonio holds a degree in Chemical Engineering from the University of Huelva. He completed his doctoral thesis in conjunction with the Joseph Fourier University of Grenoble (France). After doing his postdoctoral research at the Catholic University of Leuven (Belgium) and after 5 years as a university professor, he joined the Repsol Technology Centre where he has carried out numerous R&D&I projects in the areas of Downstream and Upstream O&G, Environment and New Energies over 12 years.

In 2017 he joined Repsol’s Corporate Venturing area as an Investment Associate and for 4 years he managed strategic investments in technology startups, in connection with different entrepreneurship ecosystems worldwide.

In 2021 he joined the Entrepreneurship Division of Fundación Repsol, supporting the acceleration programme for startups in Energy and Climate Tech: ‘Fondo de Emprendedores’. Currently, Antonio is the Innovation and Technology Manager at Fundación Repsol, within ‘Repsol Impacto Social’, an Impact Investment and Inclusive Business vehicle whose objective is to bring the Social dimension to the Energy Transition, thus contributing to generate a triple positive impact (economic, but also environmental and social).
