Mauro is in charge of business development for Spain and Portugal at South Pole, a leading global climate consulting and carbon project development company. Previously, he was the Communications and Sustainability Manager for Latin America at the GSMA, where he managed the telecommunications industry’s initiatives on climate change, e-waste, child online protection and disaster response.

At the academic level, he completed the Executive Education Program on Corporate Social Responsibility at Harvard Business School, holds a Higher Diploma in Law and Economics of Climate Change from FLACSO Argentina and completed a diploma course at UNAM in Mexico on the environmental dimension in the design and implementation of public policies. She led the development of the report “Technology for Climate Action in Latin America” for the IDB, GSMA and South Pole, and participated for 3 years as an independent member of the sustainability committee of América Móvil.
