Rebeca Vergara is a compliance lawyer specialising in conflict, critical and transition minerals value chains. She is currently a member of ASCOM and Compliance Officer at L’Orfebre, a gold refinery certified by the Responsible Minerals Initiative (RMI). He has more than 10 years of experience in the financial and capital markets world, having worked as a legal analyst for the Buenos Aires Stock Exchange and in a major Argentinean trust company. She holds several postgraduate degrees, including one in Economics and Finance from the Universitat Pompeu Fabra. She has been awarded by ASCOM for her work on the Conflict Minerals Regulation (EU) 2017/821. She is also a columnist for Diario Responsable, where she often publishes on the importance of regulatory compliance, ethics and sustainability in value chains.
