Ramón Pueyo, an economist by training, joined KPMG in February 2005. He began his professional career in 1999 at ECODES, a third-sector organization. He has always worked in the field of sustainability and was part of the team that launched the first ESG fund in Spain in the year 2000. In 2001, he participated in the creation of what is now Sustainalytics, one of the leading global ESG rating agencies. He has also served on the advisory boards of Inditex S.A. and the Global Reporting Initiative.
He is a member of one of the committees of the International Corporate Governance Network and of the World Business Council for Sustainable Development. He writes regularly and has published 2,000 dozen articles in various media outlets. He is the co-author of a book on economic psychology published in 2010.
Over the past 12 months, he has worked with around twenty boards of directors of listed companies on sustainability and good governance issues.
