Marta Santamaría is an Environmental Economist, holding a Ph.D. in Global Change and Sustainable Development from the University of Alcalá, along with dual degrees in Economics and Environmental Sciences.
In September 2023, she launched Integrating Capitals to provide independent consultancy to leading organizations interested in transforming their strategies through a comprehensive understanding of value. With over 20 years of experience estimating the value provided by natural, social, and human capital to inform and transform decision-making, she has worked extensively across various economic sectors including energy, food, construction, and finance.
Previously, she served as Senior Director at the Capitals Coalition, where she contributed to advancing the global approach to capital-based decision-making. Marta has advised many leading organizations in the sustainability space, including the Taskforce on Nature-related Financial Disclosures (TNFD) and the Science-based Targets Network (SBTN), among others.
