Emili Rousaud Parés holds a degree in Business Science and Business Administration from ESADE Business School, a degree in Business Administration from the Universitat Politécnica de Catalunya (UPC), and a Master’s degree in Tax Consultancy and Management (AGT) from ESADE Law School. In the field of teaching, he has been Associate Professor in the Faculty of Journalism and Audiovisual Communication at the Universitat Pompeu Fabra (UPF) for 17 years (1993-2010).
In 1999 he founded Factor Energía, S. A. with the intention of making it one of the alternatives in the market for the commercialisation of electricity and natural gas. Under his management, it has achieved a turnover of 410 million Euros in the financial year 2019, with more than 100,000 customers in 2020, most of them with a business profile (SMEs).
Emili Rousaud Parés was the re-founder in 2003 of the Association of Independent Energy Marketers (ACIE), of which he has been President on several occasions. In 2003, he was President of the Market Agents Committee of the Spanish Electricity Market (OMIE). Until 2009, he was a founding member of the Association of Representatives of Generators of the Iberian Electricity Market (ARMIE). He was a founding member and vice-president until 2017 of the Association for Energy Aggregation and Flexibility (ENTRA). He has been vice-president since 2009 of the association Grupo de Gestores Energéticos (GGE) and vice-president since 2013 of the employers’ association for small and medium-sized enterprises in Catalonia, PIMEC. Since 2019, he has been a full member of the Barcelona Chamber of Commerce and between 2015 and 2020 he was a member of the Board of Directors and Vice-President of F.C. Barcelona.
