David Álvarez Canales, Industrial Engineer from the Polytechnic University of Madrid, has 12 years of experience in the field of corporate ESG management.

He joined ACCIONA in 2007 where he currently holds the position of Sustainability Performance Manager, being responsible for promoting and supervising the company’s sustainability commitments, with special focus on environmental and social aspects, as well as corporate ESG procedural development and its deployment in the organization.

Since 2017, he coordinates the process of evaluation and management of climate risks that support ACCIONA’s reporting in line with TCFD requirements.

Additionally, since 2019, he leads the process of analysis and reporting of alignment with ACCIONA’s European taxonomy of sustainable activities.
