He is a Technical Forestry Engineer (University of Oviedo), Senior Forestry Engineer (University of Santiago de Compostela) and Doctor in Forestry Engineering (University of Santiago de Compostela). He has developed a large part of his professional career as a scientific researcher in national and international research centres and universities in the environmental and forestry fields. For the last 5 years he has been working in private enterprise, where he has worked as Technical Director and Commercial Director of Environment (Eulen Group) and currently as “Global Head of Carbon Project Development and Nature Based Solutions” in the multinational Export Trading Group (ETG).
He has extensive experience leading projects related to Nature Based Solutions (NBS), climate change, biodiversity, bioenergy, sustainable management of forest formations for energy purposes, environmental impact assessment, carbon calculation and offsetting, vegetation filters, etc. He has numerous contributions to scientific journals and international conferences, assisted scientific stays, and has acted as a reviewer for national and international indexed journals. He also has extensive experience as a university lecturer, teaching different subjects related to climate change and the environment.
